Questions about Badgemachines

1. I can't connect the front and back of the Badge together?

It is important to secure the machine, for example on a board or table (regardless of the type of Badge machine);

With the Micro Badge machine, the printing plate must be pressed entirely into the gray or chrome ring. The die must also be pressed down entirely;

With the Mini / Maxi and Mega Badge machine, the die at the right must be pressed down entirely.

With the Badge machines 45 mm / 56 mm, a metal ring (or plastic ring with the older Badge machines) must be present in the die where the rear side is placed.

2. When making the 75 mm button I am unable to attach the front and back to each other?

See the statement under point 1;

In addition, with the 75 mm button it is important to press the back with pin well into the die, do not put it in loose.

3. Do parts from other suppliers also fit your button machines?

Unfortunately not. There are several major suppliers of badge makers and spare parts. However, they never agree that button parts of the same size are interchangeable. In almost all cases, there are differences in the exact size. If you are unsure, please send us a photo of your machine.

4. I phave a brand X badge maker. Will your parts fit it?
Unfortunately, our parts only fit our badge makers.

5. I didn't receive a metal ring with my machine?
You only need the metal ring for the 45 mm and 56 mm machines. It is not necessary for the other sizes.

6. Can I also make fabric buttons?
Although the badge maker is designed for use with paper and Mylar, good results can also be achieved with fabric. It may take some time to figure out which fabrics give the best results. Try to mimic the thickness of paper and Mylar. We know that linen, high-quality cotton, and other thin, soft fabrics work well.

7. I have parts from another supplier. Will they fit your button machine?
No, parts from another supplier will not fit our button machines. The reverse is also true. Each button machine supplier has its own components.

8. I want to make keychains, but my 25mm button machine doesn't have a recess for them. That's correct; the recess is in the 45 and 56mm button machines. With the 25mm, you first make a regular button with a ring and then click the back into the ring.

Questions about custom buttons?

1. After uploading the image, I can only see part of it.

You're probably using an older browser, like Internet Explorer.
For privacy reasons, we don't support these older browsers.
We recommend using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc.

2. Are the buttons actual size?

No, our upload module doesn't display the buttons at actual size. So please pay close attention to the dimensions.

3. What is the delivery time for custom-designed buttons?

You can find this in the upload module. Enter the size and quantity, and you'll see the delivery time. If you have multiple images, check the total number of buttons for the delivery time.

If you have an urgent order, please don't hesitate to contact us.
info@buttonsmaken.nl or 036-5252794

4. Can I also order personalized buttons, for example, with different names on them?

This is possible; please contact us.

5. Can I also order a button with my own design and upload it via my smartphone?

We recommend uploading your design via a computer, laptop, or tablet; you won't get good results with a smartphone.

6. In my shopping cart, I see white borders around my button.

That's correct. In your shopping cart, you can see the image as we need to crop it; part of it will be wrapped around the button.

7. In the example, I see a strange crescent moon on the button.

This is an example of light hitting the button; the crescent moon will not be visible on the button.

8. How do I ensure the design is applied correctly to the button?

Make sure the image is within the red circle. Everything outside the red circle will be on the side of the button. If your image can go outside the red circle but doesn't need to be visible, that's fine. If you have text or something else that absolutely must be clearly visible, make sure it stays within the green circle.

9. I'm getting an error when uploading my design.

The image is probably too large. Use an image with a maximum size of 1.5 MB.
10. Can I submit my image by email?

We use the upload module. If you have any problems, please contact us.

11. Can I use an emoticon in the text of my design?

                                                                                                                                                                                    This is not possible. The emoticon must already be present in the design before uploading. It is not possible to use the text; the module only accepts text.

12. Can I copy an image or text in the upload module?

No, this is not possible. You can upload a pre-made image and add text using the keyboard. Cutting and pasting images and text does not work in the upload module.

13. How do I align my image?

Instructions are included with the upload module; please read them carefully! A video may also be available on the upload module page.

14. I see a square in the shopping cart, but my button was round in the example. How is that possible?

In your shopping cart, you can see what we need to crop; a portion of it will be folded back around the button. If your example was round, it will be perfectly fine.

15. Do I need a license if I use photos from the internet?

Images of famous people or cartoon characters may not be used for resale. You need the author's permission, which you must arrange yourself. Incidentally, you can also find many photos (royalty-free) online that you can use as is or for a small fee. For example: Shutterstock, Pixabay, Pexels etc.
